It was a regular story and a demonstration of love at first sight between a boy cat and a girl cat. Even though the Bostonian Cat Sophie wasn’t impressed by Scottie in the beginning, Scottie’s bravery won her over.
It all started when Sophie was parented in 2014 by Christiana Viscusi.
A handsome orange and white cat Scottie had changed completely after he noticed Sophie when she was taking a walk in the neighborhood with Viscusi couple months after her adoption.
Scottie could not get over her but, he kept his distance, being the gentlemanly cat that he is.
Look how cute she looks? I’m not even blaming him!
Still, Scottie remained distant.
“I remember when I first began taking her out for walks on the leash, Scottie use to come over and stare all the way from across the porch or driveway without getting too close,” Viscusi stated.
Scottie is always in the view range of Sophie but he never said anything to her.
And Sophie, playing hard to get, did not show the least bit of care.
“Sophie didn’t have much time for him… but then he was literally waiting for an invite to join in,” Viscusi explained. “Sophie did not have any kind of problem whatsoever.”
Finally, Scottie went to introduce himself. Sophie came to look ahead to noticing Scottie on her porch.
“His patient and persistence began paying off and Sophie was expecting him on her adventures on a daily basis and let him sit with her,” Viscusi said.
The two felines were addicted to each other and would look ahead to their daily rendezvous. Open the front door so that Sophie could see her crush is the first daily thing Viscusi would do right when she wakes up.
“Many mornings Scottie is sitting on his driveway looking up and they watch each other,” she explains. “If Scottie sees us sitting on the porch from his lawn he walks over, politely uses the sidewalk, and waits hoping for her to come down.”
The two were radically attached. Scottie just followed Sophie and doing everything that she does.
“They are so cute together”
They’d get together to see the patrol and hedge in the yard. If you would see Sophie, Scottie would not be very far. Scottie even shouted at Viscusi’s porch for Sophie to come out.
“Scottie actually is the cutest ‘boy next door’ neighbor,” Viscusi says. “All he ever ever wanted was to join in and be friends.. and then a quick kiss perhaps”
Sadly, Sophie died in June but her and Scottie’s love will never die and live on surely.
