Browser became the library’s mascot back in 2010 in the White Settlement Public Library in Forth Worth Texas. He was adopted to help with the infestation.
He was on the library’s calendar for the fundraising.
After the city council did not need his services anymore, they gave him the boot, and he wasn’t allowed in city facilities. The locals and internet went crazy about it, they totally freaked out forcing the city to take back this decision.
Ron White, The mayor; Said that he didn’t know where the council’s decision came from.
He then added; “browser belongs in there and should stay in there, this decision seems suspicious and I actually don’t have the right answer for it. but I definitely do not support it.”
White added that Browser’s serving was actually underestimated.
“Browser helps little kids read, They will come and they will read to browser,” White said.
The author of “The True Tails of Baker and Taylor” Lisa Rogak, stated that felines make the place a more warm and cozy and also a welcoming library.
Though one of the arguments against having a cat in their city library was to protect those who are allergic to cats, White says that the air purifier in the library gets rid of 99 percent of allergens in the air.
Some even argued against having a cat because of allergies etc.. But White says that this is not a problem since the air purifier gets rid of almost 99% of any kind of allergy.
The support from all over the world was unreal more than 1500 emails against the council’s decision and in favor of the staying of Browser
Browser even won over 1,000 signatures on petitions made by the city to keep his job.
The councilman who banned Browser, just made a motion to get Browser back in.
White declared how happy he is with the return of Browser to his job, which is, Saving the city’s books.
People, Internet and the citizens of Forth Worth Texas. relax and chill. Browser is back on the job.
