Meet the astounding lady who ceded her vastly spacious home, equipped with a pool and complete with a view, for the sole purpose of caring for her cherished cats.
Lynea Lattanzio, aged 68, has decided to live in a trailer, just so she can take better care of her feline companions, all 1100 of them.
She reveals that over the course of her life, she has taken in, looked after and lived together with 28000 cats!
The “ultimate crazy cat-lady”, as she calls herself, loves their charm, elegance, and independence. In the early nineties, she started adopting, nurturing, and rehousing cats out of her own money. Once she came to be a vet technician, it was easier to extend her mission and find the necessary funds for food and litter, as well as vets and maintenance staffing.
Her small mobile home is situated on her 6-acre farm in California, famously known as Cat House on the Kings, and considered to be the state’s biggest adoption center and sanctuary for abandoned and stray cats, based on a no-cage, no-kill rule. Three hundred kittens and eight hundred adult cats are being looked after by Lynea and her team of volunteers.
You can see the incredible Cat House in the video below, where fierce felines can wander openly throughout a 5-bedroom home.
