Just when you think you must be the craziest cat-lady out there, somebody else comes ahead and proves you wrong. Alla Lebedeva, a Russian farmer, has recently made her home a self-proclaimed “Catland”. The magical photos and videos that Alla takes of her many majestic Siberian cats have gone viral attracting a lot of attention.
Alla and her husband Sergey have been raising cats for more than ten years in their homestead in Prigorodny, just outside Barnaul, Siberia. When asked how many cats do you have, she usually answers “a million, maybe more”. She reveals that all the cats live in the henhouse, have three bedrooms so that they can sleep wherever they want, depending on how they are feeling, and only have one job: protecting the rabbits and chickens, from all the mice and rats.
Over two thousand people have been following Alla’s daily diary of her cat family’s adventures on Youtube, as her videos remained circulated around the Internet without her authorization and mistaken for ‘Norwegian’. Although there is a close relation between Siberian Cat and the Norwegian Forest Cat, please do not forget that they are different species, and remember to always give credit to the owner for everything you share. It helps your well-being.
